Welcome To The Deerbrook Game Preserve
Our property is licensed by the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture to raise whitetail deer. Our deer are raised wild, we do not handle the deer. You will be picking the deer you harvest. Our guides will assist you in staying in your budget - but they do not have a specific deer picked out before you arrive. We never know what will walk out! For more details on a hunt - click here. You may find these deer are often more leery then deer outside the preserve. They know every spot, scent and sound in their home. The property is a versatile environment including fields, pine trees, hardwood highlands and swamps. We strive to make hunting on our preserve FUN! We hunt at your pace and have a "hunting camp" atmosphere. Good times and seeing lots of deer are a priority when you visit our property. 2008 Outlook
2007 was a great year on the preserve! Because of this, we will be limiting the hunts for 2008 . There are several big bucks left on the property that should score above 150 with a good potential of a couple more growing into trophy size this summer - only time will tell.
The new food plots at the in the "back stand" field worked out very well. We saw good traffic - especially every evening. Our best success was however in the large front field and in our "woods" stand which overlooks a ridge that drops into the cedar swamp.
Hunters Choice Special
We are offering one hunt at a cost of $4,000 - Hunters Choice! Normally a 145 to 150 class deer would sell for $4000 and a 160 to 169 deer would sell for $6,000. With this hunt, any deer can be shot for $4,000.
Here are the details. Each hunt requires a $500 down payment. If a buck is shot during the 3 day hunt, an additional $3,500 is due (we have some financing options). If the hunter has an opportunity to shoot a deer 140 class or bigger, but decides to pass it (or them), waiting for a larger deer, and ends up not shooting a buck then the $500 deposit is forfeited. If the hunter has no shot opportunities for a 140 class (or larger) buck during the 3 day hunt then the $500 is refunded. As with all of our hunts - you pick the buck you like, we don't have a particular deer reserved for you.
